Why does a person Blog?
I know this question has been asked and discussed many times over the recent years. There are too many people doing it to not wonder the motives behind it. I was surprised when I googled this question, because of all the different, numerous, and valid reasons some people have for doing [...]

What I did in 2008
Nobody asked me this question, but I think it’d be a fun one to answer if they did…
What did you do in 2008?
Well, for one thing I’ve been 220 pds and 130 pds in 2008, that was a weird feeling.
2) I gave birth to a new life
3) Made it through a pregnancy with no [...]
Christmas Vacation
So, I’m writing this post from Mexico, Playa Del Carmen actually (I think that’s how you spell it). It’s beautiful, warm and everything I could ask for out of a vacation. And I’m not complaining…it just doesn’t feel much like Christmas here. Which, I guess was sorta the point of my family randomly deciding [...]
Christmas time is hard
Every day it’s something new that I realize I’m missing see her do. The Holidays kinda suck for me right now. I won’t get into it, cause it just makes people cry…but I wish I could see like her open her first Christmas gift (if a 9 month old baby can even do that yet…) [...]
A Child’s Prayer: Good for the Soul
A Child’s Prayer: Good for the Soul
Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, “God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream [...]
Somebunny’s thinking of you today!
And every other day too!
I know you can’t read yet, but it wouldn’t be the best idea for me to post this if you could. So I’ll take advantage of the opportunity now, while your still such a little girl today!
Cause I am SO SO SO PROUD of you, and I can’t [...]
Stanek on the O’Reilly Factor
Stanek on the O’Reilly Factor From Jill Stanek’s Pro-Life blog:
On September 29, 2000, I was interviewed on the O’Reilly Factor about my experience as an RN at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, holding a live aborted baby.
Bill O’Reilly was uncharacteristically speechless a couple times throughout, which may be why he chose to replay this [...]
Saying Goodbye
Those weeks, days, then hours leading up to the adoption…are the most intense, over-emotional, scary, and confusing times, yet somehow they are also the most beautiful, peaceful, and cherished moments too. I don’t know how they all fit in together, but they do. When the birth mother and her child are just “talking” to each other, sometimes for hours and hours, it is the most beautiful scene to watch (but no one could ever watch though, because then it wouldn’t be just for them and lose it’s beauty) In my case I would go over all of my dreams for her, and how much I loved her, during that time. Several times we would go over the “plan for her life” I had made and I’d tell her about each member of her new family and how much they loved her. I went over the “procedure” for adoption day and told her not to worry I’d have the prettiest pink outfit for her to wear to meet them (she just had to get her beauty sleep tht night.) Then I told her…
Results are in on the prettiest baby on earth search!
After a comprehensive, fully biased search….I have determined she wins by a long shot! Her eyes seal the deal folks! Sorry I can’t show you any photos….you have to just take my word for it. (won’t ever risk her safety) But she shines like nothing I’ve ever seen before. If you look at her you have to smile for joy! Her sparkling eyes and bright smile could cheer anyone up instantly….even Joy Bahar. That’s talent!
I also declare today as….. the official “lets ALL be like CNN day!”
Baby Talk
Just a add on note to my post from earlier this week Saying Goodbye, about the beautiful time spent “talking” with my baby girl before the adoption.
This is a great conclusion to it, by John Piper: The Precious Gift of Baby Talk
Saying Goodbye:
I found some poems, courtesy of adoption.org, by birth mother’s. They [...]

My Favorite Movie as a Young Girl
I came across it so randomly on youtube, I was actually reading about Jonathan Edwards (1703 one, not the psychic guy) and I saw a link to a clip in Pollyanna where the preacher is impersonating Edwards Link to that is on the MY GOD page. Anyways, I didn’t think anyone had the clips from [...]
Unbelievable
Subconscious post continued….(and some extra)
So some may think I’m just an idiot and was oblivious to my own body and reality…but that’s OK, then I’m an idiot with a healthy baby girl that completed another family! I know in my heart that what God did was a blessing for me and even more so for [...]
Our Subconscious
I’ve always wondered the power our subconscious mind really has. I know it plays a role in our everyday lives, maybe more than we imagine it does, but how big is it really? I mean how much data can it really store and how much of it is truth vs. fiction. [...]
My Diary from the day of Birth
I have been meaning to write the story of my pregnancy, and all the time surrounding it, down for a long time now. I want to have it to give my daughter and her family someday. I have this little problem though….I’m a master procrastinator and it is the things most important to me, which [...]
Does God talk to us in dreams?
I never thought about it much. I guess I always thought people would think I was crazy if I did say He did to anyone. I’m pretty sure last night my dreams were full of God speaking to me. I write my dreams down most of the time, because they are always so strange and [...]

Who Am I?
I am a girl just trying to follow the path God has for me. I'm a daughter, sister, and recent birth mom of a beautiful baby girl who is was adopted into a wonderful family. Lately, I have a lot of spare time and I spend most of it trying to make sense of things through writing. I graduated college in 2005 with a degree in Child Development Psychology and Theology (which prepares you for so many jobs..) I hope to be a writer someday, but my grammar and spelling still need a lot of work! ...read more...read more
