I’m starting to like Mike Huckabee more and more…I don’t know why either. I do like his politics, but I think it’s more the dimples!

The Psychology of Blogging
Why does a person Blog?
I know this question has been asked and discussed many times over the recent years. There are too many people doing it to not wonder the motives behind it. I was surprised when I googled this question, because of all the different, numerous, and valid reasons some people have for doing [...]
What I did in 2008
Nobody asked me this question, but I think it’d be a fun one to answer if they did…
What did you do in 2008?
Well, for one thing I’ve been 220 pds and 130 pds in 2008, that was a weird feeling.
2) I gave birth to a new life
3) Made it through a pregnancy with no [...]
Oh Those Blog Referral Sites
Some do a lot, some not so much.
I got this email today. Not quite sure how it works, but click the photo or link once for me, if you can? Thanks.
You are now on the front page of TopMomma.com!!!! Time is of the essence, so make sure that you tell all your friends and readers [...]
Christmas Vacation
So, I’m writing this post from Mexico, Playa Del Carmen actually (I think that’s how you spell it). It’s beautiful, warm and everything I could ask for out of a vacation. And I’m not complaining…it just doesn’t feel much like Christmas here. Which, I guess was sorta the point of my family randomly deciding [...]
Christmas time is hard
Every day it’s something new that I realize I’m missing see her do. The Holidays kinda suck for me right now. I won’t get into it, cause it just makes people cry…but I wish I could see like her open her first Christmas gift (if a 9 month old baby can even do that yet…) [...]
Hidden Death Count
Just recently I stumbled upon a really cool little website when searching for a countdown clock.
The world death count (causes of death).
What are some of the biggest causes of death in the media today?
Traffic accidents are certainly talked about a lot. A lot of money is poured into making us feel guilty for going 5 [...]
A Child’s Prayer: Good for the Soul
A Child’s Prayer: Good for the Soul
Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, “God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream [...]
A Forever Kind of Love
This is the kind of love I hope to have someday…..
A Forever Kind of Love
by Christy M. Martin
One of our favorite patients had been in and out of our small, rural hospital several times, and all of us on med-surg. had grown quite attached to her and her husband. In spite of terminal cancer [...]
“Unnatural” Adoption
The other day I came across three references to the debate over the right’s of homosexuals to adopt. My opinion is and always will be that this is not in the best interest of the child and therefore not something I will support. I have several reasons to back up this claim too, I’m not [...]
Different responses to adoption Month
I wrote an earlier post about my opinion of national adoption month and I also posted an article written by another birth mom. There are so many different views though of adoption and therefore of adoption month also. These are just a few below. The first article below references my blog post on adoption day, [...]

Dreams really are meaningful!
This is the coolest story! Even if you don’t agree with me on abortion, you must admit this would make you think twice too. Dreams are meaningful alright, and it’s amazing how God can work in people through them! And to think, this man is forgiven of all his sins (he converted, so I [...]
Each of us has our place at the table
by Max Lucado
If God has called you to be a Martha, then serve! Remind the rest of us that there is evangelism in feeding the poor and there is worship in nursing the sick.
If God has called you to be a Mary, then worship! Remind the rest of us that we don’t have to [...]
Somebunny’s thinking of you today!
And every other day too!
I know you can’t read yet, but it wouldn’t be the best idea for me to post this if you could. So I’ll take advantage of the opportunity now, while your still such a little girl today!
Cause I am SO SO SO PROUD of you, and I can’t [...]
Feminist for life Susan B. Anthony
“Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so that their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them.”
~ Susan B. Anthony, quoted in The American Feminist, Spring 1998 [...]

Who Am I?
I am a girl just trying to follow the path God has for me. I'm a daughter, sister, and recent birth mom of a beautiful baby girl who is was adopted into a wonderful family. Lately, I have a lot of spare time and I spend most of it trying to make sense of things through writing. I graduated college in 2005 with a degree in Child Development Psychology and Theology (which prepares you for so many jobs..) I hope to be a writer someday, but my grammar and spelling still need a lot of work! ...read more...read moreLinks
