So, I’m writing this post from Mexico, Playa Del Carmen actually (I think that’s how you spell it). It’s beautiful, warm and everything I could ask for out of a vacation. And I’m not complaining…it just doesn’t feel much like Christmas here. Which, I guess was sorta the point of my family randomly deciding [...]

A Child’s Prayer: Good for the Soul
A Child’s Prayer: Good for the Soul
Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, “God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream [...]
When satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future
God Forgives…
One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God’s call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time [...]
“Unnatural” Adoption
The other day I came across three references to the debate over the right’s of homosexuals to adopt. My opinion is and always will be that this is not in the best interest of the child and therefore not something I will support. I have several reasons to back up this claim too, I’m not [...]

Dreams really are meaningful!
This is the coolest story! Even if you don’t agree with me on abortion, you must admit this would make you think twice too. Dreams are meaningful alright, and it’s amazing how God can work in people through them! And to think, this man is forgiven of all his sins (he converted, so I [...]
Each of us has our place at the table
by Max Lucado
If God has called you to be a Martha, then serve! Remind the rest of us that there is evangelism in feeding the poor and there is worship in nursing the sick.
If God has called you to be a Mary, then worship! Remind the rest of us that we don’t have to [...]
Somebunny’s thinking of you today!
And every other day too!
I know you can’t read yet, but it wouldn’t be the best idea for me to post this if you could. So I’ll take advantage of the opportunity now, while your still such a little girl today!
Cause I am SO SO SO PROUD of you, and I can’t [...]
Feminist for life Susan B. Anthony
“Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so that their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them.”
~ Susan B. Anthony, quoted in The American Feminist, Spring 1998 [...]
Dreaming again
Since Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in all 50 states, the U.S. government reports that more than 43 million abortions have been performed on some 27 million women. It’s estimated that approximately 43 percent of women who’ve reached the age of 45 have had an abortion.
So, I had hoped to [...]
Happy Birthday Billy
Billy Graham is 90 today!
From John Piper’s Desiringgod.com blog:
“One of the great fears of my life as a boy growing up in Greenville, South Carolina is that Billy Graham would die. Today he is 90 years old. Thank you, Lord, that you answered my boyish prayers. Happy birthday, Billy. Here’s to your life!
Billy Graham [...]
To be clear on election day…
A quick quote from Between Two Worlds: Piper, Politics, and Abortion: A Few Thoughts a man that says it better than I can:
The Knights of Columbus recently catalogued the many small successes achieved in the pro-life political process since 1973:
The Hyde Amendment, which restricts federal funding for abortions;
The federal law banning partial birth abortions, which [...]
My heart and the abortion issue, Part 1
It’s a five part series, folks. I truly tried to condense it to the most crucial points, but without backing them up in detail….my claims would only be as good as Senator Obama’s. Also I will try to stay off internal political debate here, because I just want to share how God convicted my heart [...]
Stanek on the O’Reilly Factor
Stanek on the O’Reilly Factor From Jill Stanek’s Pro-Life blog:
On September 29, 2000, I was interviewed on the O’Reilly Factor about my experience as an RN at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, holding a live aborted baby.
Bill O’Reilly was uncharacteristically speechless a couple times throughout, which may be why he chose to replay this [...]
Saying Goodbye
Those weeks, days, then hours leading up to the adoption…are the most intense, over-emotional, scary, and confusing times, yet somehow they are also the most beautiful, peaceful, and cherished moments too. I don’t know how they all fit in together, but they do. When the birth mother and her child are just “talking” to each other, sometimes for hours and hours, it is the most beautiful scene to watch (but no one could ever watch though, because then it wouldn’t be just for them and lose it’s beauty) In my case I would go over all of my dreams for her, and how much I loved her, during that time. Several times we would go over the “plan for her life” I had made and I’d tell her about each member of her new family and how much they loved her. I went over the “procedure” for adoption day and told her not to worry I’d have the prettiest pink outfit for her to wear to meet them (she just had to get her beauty sleep tht night.) Then I told her…

God promises to bring “beauty from ashes” (Isaiah 61:3). A loving Christian adoption expresses this special beauty from God in the lives of everyone involved in the adoption … the birth families, the adoptive families and in the child’s life.
