I read only a bit of the massive cap & trade bill congress passed Friday and I know it regulates our shower usage, but it better not touch my AC in the summer! I’m still reading… (1500 pages and they added 300 amendments to it at 3 A.M the night before it passed. No one was able to read it all in congress, one republican couldn’t get a copy on the house floor even!)
See how your representative voted. 44 Democrats broke with Obama, 8 Republicans went against their party…

America, When will you wake up? When will you speak up? Or have you already just given up?
While you were lamenting over Michael Jackson for 72 hours (and counting), guess what the House did? It stayed up late and passed one of the most horrific bills to come about in, well, EVER! Do you care? Are you going to do anything? Or will you just sit back and wait for the Senate to pass it, too?
Do you know what a “Green Bank” is? It’s in the bill. Do you like the idea of having Uncle Sam come into your house and rate your energy efficiency before you can put it up for sale? And if it’s not good enough have you upgrade it’s efficiency? It’s in the bill. How about a water-saving shower head? Like that idea? It’s in the bill.
This bill could easily cost each American at least $1,000 per year in increased costs due to “global warming”, oops, excuse me, that’s not PC – it’s now “climate change.” And don’t even get started on what this bill will do to our economy. Think it’s bad now? This is a picnic compared to what it will be like.
For those of you who aren’t interested or “don’t have the time” to read about this bill in depth, here’s a link to a summary: http://www.nationalcenter.org/NPA570.html.
And for an eye opening view of this bill and some of it’s consequences, read Glenn Beck’s account: http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/27284/.
Whatever you do, PLEASE WAKE UP! Before it’s TOO LATE! It may be already.
