Day 2
A Virtuous Woman
When you hear the phrase “a godly woman,” does an actual woman come to mind? Better yet, do you think that could ever describe you?*
- The Proverbs 31 woman deals with the same issues you do!
- I can tell you this—she didn’t get there overnight, and she hasn’t yet arrived. She’s a woman in process. She’s a woman who, like most of us, often finds herself taking three steps forward and two steps back.
- The world tells you that if you look out for yourself, then you’ll be happy. But it’s the woman who lives for God and others who is truly joyful.
*We’re journeying with Nancy Leigh DeMoss through ten select messages from her teaching The Counter-cultural Woman: A Fresh Look at Proverbs 31. We highly recommend the entire series.

Hello nice to meet you Girl…
Well yes I do have a person come to mind when I think of the “virtuous woman” of “noble character”….my wife….and all the women I know that are genuine Jesus followers…
This passage of Scripture is a monument to the transformation power of God in a person’s life, in this case a woman.
Neither mere religion or checklist do and don’ts churchianity have the power to grow a woman like this….it is beautifully expressed in relation to “fear of the LORD” (verse 30) a woman that warmly receives His fingerprints upon their lives is transformed by Him…
