So below is a Continuation from the post last week about my purpose in life to change the image of birth mother’s and adoption. I realize I can’t respond to every negative post on youtube about adoption, God, the Bible, and other issues…, because there are just not enough hours in the day. But it is so hard when I just read them…to not feel the ned to say something! I just think if my child read this stuff someday…(Well she won’t because by then it will be different (I pray)
I should of known though, since adoption is a faith based issue and so is abortion, that the anti-Christian jabs and misquoting of scripture would be frequent too. It’s impossible ot not respond to some of these people who are so angry and so”get what’s yours in the world” about everything. They seem so hurt and angry inside. So much anger over and effort they put into pro-abortion, anti-adoption and anti-Christian sentiments…To me, I’m just baffled as to what they are fighting so hard for. Is it only to protect themselves? And if so, that makes it seem like they are actually very scared because of this over emphasis on the need to protect their future decisions. Protect from what…? (this note added later: I thin Piper figured it out)
I guess that’s a big difference too, in Christian and non….Non focus on making their life pleasurable and easy, and true Christians welcome challenges and suffering because for one, they are strong in God, and secondly, because trials on earth just give us a chance to show the world what God can do in people who believe. Praising Him in the worst and best times of your life, is our goal. John Piper said in his book, that if you go through life just trying to avoid suffering…(looking 4 quote)
The latest responses to The View on Adoption video; Go to the individual video pages if you don’t understand the context of argument. I tell ya, It’s hard work keeping up with some of these atheists, they try to hit you with a comeback and insult on your faith first and hope that will shut you down, then after you surprise them and defend your faith….since they have no basis for their argument (except human selfishness) they turn to the Bible and find a random passage they don’t understand the context and through it up their like they stumped you. Thing is if you comment back you can take their statement off the front page so kids can’t be fooled. Anyways, I then (when I have time) go reference each passage and then try to explain the real message behind the words (an I hope I do it justice) Usually that’s that and I tell them I hope they give God a chance one day, and they stop responding. But if they respond and you don’t combat that post..it looks like they won or you were stumped. At least that;s what I worry it looks like to young kids just reading and searching on youtube (like my little cousin) See if you comment the truth in response to false accusations against God, then they are taken off the front page. So I’ve either got to make 5 more of me, or go back to not looking at youtube anymore. But who am I to say that one place is more important then another in the effort to change the world view of adoption, abortion, and the great gift of children. Ive quoted this already…I imagine so, but oh well. As Mother Teresa “Children are God in disguise!”
(I’m bbsmu, if ya can’t tell) If you are part of an adoption or support adoption like I think many do, the comments below will startle you. I think we get caught up in our own little bubbles though and miss what the majority of people are going around discussing openly and affecting young men and women’s future decisions. I understand why the adoption community stays somewhat hush, hush (and birth mom’s are the one’s who are told basically to go into hiding…so at least I’m behind a computer here!) but there is a point when enough is enough. It’s not about our lifetime anymore, it’s about the future generations. And I don’t want anymore girl’s choosing abortion simply because no one ever told them about adoption (or else all they heard were comments like these below) I for one didn’t even know all the option available with adoption. I would of been far less scared if I did too. The main fear of young single women with an unexpected pregnancy, is how could I afford to care for them, feed them, pay for all that they need, when I can’t even barely manage for myself? It is so scary.
I don’t know why but now I thin of every unborn baby as my daughter in a way, maybe just because I value her so much, I can’t help but value all the little defenseless children too.

You can’t feel when you don’t exist. It’s not pretty but not all adopted children are happy. Many adoptive parents are abusive and never really made the bond they expected. Adoption is not that simple. I am adopted. I almost wasn’t because my parents originally wanted a boy to adopt.There are thousands of children that can be adopted now but people do not want them because they are too old, or not the right color or have special needs. So don’t just throw adoption out as a cure all. It is not!!!I a am a birth mother of a beautiful little girl and I just wanted to say to you that what you said means a lot to me. I hope my daughter knows that she was wanted by so many people. I would of loved to keep her, but financially I couldn’t and I wanted her to have a mom and dad. When you say that you almost weren’t adopted…I don;t quite understand.My decision to save a life was the best decision I ever made and my daughter is my greatest achievement.
