It’s a five part series, folks. I truly tried to condense it to the most crucial points, but without backing them up in detail….my claims would only be as good as Senator Obama’s. Also I will try to stay off internal political debate here, because I just want to share how God convicted my heart [...]

Stanek on the O’Reilly Factor
Stanek on the O’Reilly Factor From Jill Stanek’s Pro-Life blog:
On September 29, 2000, I was interviewed on the O’Reilly Factor about my experience as an RN at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, holding a live aborted baby.
Bill O’Reilly was uncharacteristically speechless a couple times throughout, which may be why he chose to replay this [...]
Saying Goodbye
Those weeks, days, then hours leading up to the adoption…are the most intense, over-emotional, scary, and confusing times, yet somehow they are also the most beautiful, peaceful, and cherished moments too. I don’t know how they all fit in together, but they do. When the birth mother and her child are just “talking” to each other, sometimes for hours and hours, it is the most beautiful scene to watch (but no one could ever watch though, because then it wouldn’t be just for them and lose it’s beauty) In my case I would go over all of my dreams for her, and how much I loved her, during that time. Several times we would go over the “plan for her life” I had made and I’d tell her about each member of her new family and how much they loved her. I went over the “procedure” for adoption day and told her not to worry I’d have the prettiest pink outfit for her to wear to meet them (she just had to get her beauty sleep tht night.) Then I told her…

The pursuit of achievment and success
This passage from Swindoll was helpful for me today. At a time in my life when I am confused over the purpose of some achievements and trying to understand what “success” is, it helps remind me what’s important. I am told over and over again that the goal is to be self-sufficient and independent. In [...]

Update on Birth Certificate Obama
Here are the facts the Daily News attributes to the ruling:
“Obama was born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961, and the campaign posted a document issued by Hawaii on its Web site, fightthesmears.com, (an Obama Website) confirming his birth there.
Berg said in court papers that the image was a forgery.

Results are in on the prettiest baby on earth search!
After a comprehensive, fully biased search….I have determined she wins by a long shot! Her eyes seal the deal folks! Sorry I can’t show you any photos….you have to just take my word for it. (won’t ever risk her safety) But she shines like nothing I’ve ever seen before. If you look at her you have to smile for joy! Her sparkling eyes and bright smile could cheer anyone up instantly….even Joy Bahar. That’s talent!

God promises to bring “beauty from ashes” (Isaiah 61:3). A loving Christian adoption expresses this special beauty from God in the lives of everyone involved in the adoption … the birth families, the adoptive families and in the child’s life.

- Give Time to Your Wife November 20, 2008(Author: David Mathis) The apostle Peter writes, Husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7) This is strange at first glance. How does caring for your wife connect to having unhindered prayers? Here's Wayne Grudem's challenging commentary: So concerned is God that Christian husbands live in an understanding and loving way with their wives, that he "interrupts" his relationship with them when they are not doing so. No Christian husband should presume to think that any spiritual good will be accomplished by his life without an effective ministry of prayer. And no husband may expect an effective prayer life unless he lives with his wife "in an understanding way, bestowing honour" on her. To take the time to develop and maintain a good marriage is God's will; it is serving God; it is a spiritual activity pleasing in his sight." (1 Peter, 146) Christian husbands shouldn't feel that time given to their wives is "time away from the real ministry." Time invested with our wives is time well spent. It's God's will—"a spiritual activity pleasing in his sight."

I am a girl just trying to follow the path God has for me. I'm a daughter, sister, and recent birth mom of a beautiful baby girl who is was adopted into a wonderful family. Lately, I have a lot of spare time and I spend most of it trying to make sense of things through writing. I graduated college in 2005 with a degree in Child Development Psychology and Theology (which prepares you for so many jobs..) I hope to be a writer someday, but my grammar and spelling still need a lot of work! ...read more
