So when I made this blog I was dogsitting for my sister’s boyfriend’s dog, Eve. And I guess it got me thinking about Eve and what a Godly woman should be like. I went back to my old notes from college Religon classes and remembered that I wasn’t too thrilled about the creation subect and how it is has been debated and twisted over the years. I pray that God wil show me in some way how I can be the best woman of God while I am on this earth and in this time. That’s I guess my main wish for my future.
Anyways, I guess there are kind of two versions in the Bible of Adam and Eve and I will talk about that more later. ( Or more like put what research and other people have said) and hopefully make some sense of it. Also there’s Lilith, which I dont know what to do with.
Basically, I think my view has been skewed just as most people’s in the world is after all the interpretations over the years. Was Eve really bad? Are woman inheritantly bad and responsible for the fall of mankind? How did “sharing” an apple get translating into ” tempting, seducing, and tricking” Adam with an apple?
I think the reason I started to think more about it was because Eve, the dog…is the most amazing dog I’ve ever met. She’s so kind and protective. I think she probably just missed Adam (her owner & my sister’s bf) but she was glued to me for that week and I loved the company! She basically slept on top of me every night and I didn;t have a choice really about it. She even could sense when I was upset. If I had been crying, she would come and sit by me and get all upset with me. She wouldn’t go to sleep either until I finally did. I want a dog just like her now, but I know I could never train one like Adam did. She can even get you a drink from the refrigerator too..she opens it all by herself and everything. (Actually not just any drink, you have to like propel water, that’s all she will bring you right now. lol. Sill pretty cool though) The last dog I was around was my ex’s mut and I always got stuck taking him out for some reason (usually on the freezing cold days) and he would always run away from me and I’d have to go looking for him forever through the neighborhood, but he would never come to me…so it was pointless. When the owner finally got up off the couch during a football commercial then he would could call him and he’s come running home from blocks away. So for that reason, and the fact that he threw up on me a few times (once after I went and bought him that expensive doggie ice cream to try) made grow an affinity towards big dogs in general. So in other words, Eve was a kind dog to everyone and Adam is the same way himself…so I guess it’t true that “you are your pet” in many ways. I’m sure if I had a dog they would have multiple personalities though. You know how some dogs find a toy or something and start to think it’s their baby, (I thought a lot of dogs do that but maybe it’s just my aunt’s that does) well I bet my dog would be like that. And have some body image issues and refuse to eat the generic dog food (haha)
I got way off topic. This page is supposed to be about things dealing with Eve and God’s image of a woman.

I am a girl just trying to follow the path God has for me. I'm a daughter, sister, and recent birth mom of a beautiful baby girl who is was adopted into a wonderful family. Lately, I have a lot of spare time and I spend most of it trying to make sense of things through writing. I graduated college in 2005 with a degree in Child Development Psychology and Theology (which prepares you for so many jobs..) I hope to be a writer someday, but my grammar and spelling still need a lot of work! ...read more
